The journey begins when break down your comfort zone.

Every morning since my internship, I would plan out as much as I can for the day, including conversations. I don't talk about my social anxiety ever on here. Or at least I don't think I have. Being around people in crowded areas or just places in general will freak me out, so I try to avoid situations like these as much as possible. I'm not someone who has many friends, and if you asked me when the last time I hung out with friends was, I wouldn't be able to tell you. I am my favorite company, with B and my family right after. I think it's easier to decline an invitation than it is to accept and have to endure social anxiety tugging at my brain and overcomplicating things.

Lately, I've been trying to get over it and to say 'yes' to more events and to be honest as to how I felt. It's been remarkable, honestly. It's been such a surprise to hear that the most outgoing of people were introverted and had social anxiety, too, and were able to understand how I was feeling. And even with knowing that, it doesn't make occasions easier, but it puts my mind at ease knowing that there are people looking out and that don't judge me for my fear of talk and company.
