Bettering myself for myself.


I talked yesterday about the things that I loved about myself, but there's always room for improvement so I can find more reasons to love myself. Obviously, there are so many things that I don't like about myself, but I want to focus on things that I'm able to work on to improve my outlook on myself.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Communication. In general, I'm terrible at verbally forming words together to say a sentence that makes any sort of sense. Imagine me trying to defend myself. I shy away at speaking up for myself because I get overwhelmed with emotions and trying to piece words together to get my point across. This SIP has been keeping me quiet on a lot of things happening in my life, so I want to try to be able to speak up and communicate my thoughts across.
  • Keeping my emotions in check. I'm a roller coaster of emotions. This goes hand in hand with my communication issues because it's also hard for me to talk because I'm either fuming or I'm a blubbering mess. I think during this time, I need to really process my emotions whenever I'm feeling high highs or low lows to make sure I know where they're coming from and why I'm feeling like that.
  • Self love. I need to accept that I am who I am, and I'll never be someone else. That makes me special and unique. Yesterday, I wrote a list of things I loved about myself. I hope to grow the list by the end of the 30 days.
  • 3D skills. I want to grow more of my skills so that I'm not behind in the industry. I have a couple of tutorials saved that I haven't had a chance to visit yet, and I definitely want to tackle those. So far since the first day back of blogging, I've been working on my 3D art every night after work. 

Here's to improving myself! I'm hoping to blog about my weekly accomplishments and improvements, so that I can tangibly see my successes. If you're reading this, I hope that you're able to reach your goals soon, too!
